Egg-stra Special Sunny Side Up Eggs

A simple way to add a little fun to April Fool's Day

By Laurie Corbett March 29, 2021

I love food that looks like one thing but is really something else! This one is a fun, simple way to add a laugh first thing in the morning, or as a fun afternoon snack. Kids will think you are serving a sunny side up egg when you are really serving yogurt and fruit! My oldest doesn't like eggs and she actually cried when I served it for lunch - she quickly realized it wasn't real, laughed and gobbled it up!

What You'll Need
Plain or Vanilla Yogurt
Canned Peach Halves
Plate
Spoon

What You'll Do
1. Create a "puddle" of yogurt on a plate.

2. Use the back of the spoon to smooth it out into a shape that mimics the white of a fried or sunny side up egg.

3. Dry off the peach half with a paper towel and place it on the yogurt with the cut side down.

4. Serve and join in the laughs when the kids realize what it really is!
