Book Review: Grumpy Monkey

Emotions are so big and complicated. Sometimes they arrive for valid reasons and sometimes they arrive for seemingly no reason at all. That’s exactly the topic discussed in the book, ‘Grumpy Monkey’ by Suzanne Lang. When Monkey wakes up one day with a sour puss on his face, all his friends want to know, “Why are you grumpy? Try my method to fix it!”  Despite all of the suggestions, Monkey is simply having a grumpy day. I loved the fun illustrations to help drive home a point we all probably need a reminder about. Emotions, especially big ones don’t always need an explanation or a solution.
