Book Review: Bear Hug

By Kayla Rochelle July 24, 2021

Recommended for Ages 3 - 7 years old

Hibernating comes naturally to bears, but there are still so many things to think about! In ‘Bear Hug’ a young bear learns all of the ins and outs of hibernations. His parents show him the way and help him prepare as he faces his first winter alone. While preparing, he meets a new mate just in time to snuggle close and sleep while winter settles in. When spring comes, not only do they find the world awake again but also a new cub! Fall doesn’t just mark the start of hibernation for animals, but also for people. It’s the time of year we fill our homes with pumpkins, pull out the warm clothes and crave carbs. Hibernation season is coming and this artistic book is a fun way to talk about all the changes the new season brings.
