    While visiting New York City there are tons of well-known things to do to keep yourself and your little ones entertained, but be sure to check out this list of ten of New York’s best-kept secrets!

1. If you have a child interested in the theatre be sure to go to The New Victory Theatre to see if there is a workshop available while you are visiting. They have amazing shows with opportunities to meet the cast after, lobby activities, and even a fun scavenger hunt you can enjoy!

2. For a nostalgic afternoon for adults go to Modern Pinball NYC where you can enjoy dozens of modern and classic arcade games while exploring their rich history. So much fun for both parents and children!

3. If you have a little girl a trip to the American Girl store will be sure to be a day of her dreams. Featuring a doll store where girls can make custom American Girl dolls to look like them, a restaurant where their dolls are given their meals and a spa where not only can your little princess be pampered, but her doll can get the royal treatment as well.

4. For your history buffs, visit Fraunces Tavern Museum, the spot where George Washington discharged his troops! It’s an amazing, hands-on opportunity to learn about Colonial history.

5. New York is so diverse with so much to do that even in the heart of this bustling city there is an opportunity for you to get away from it all at Battery Urban Farm. You’ll find over 100 varieties of organically grown flowers, fruits vegetables and other plants. Make sure to check out their resident wild turkey, Zelda!

6. If you’re traveling with children under six the Children’s Museum of Manhattan is a must-visit. With five floors of hands-on learning experiences and programs, your little one is bound to be entertained for hours!

7. For children aged 8-13, a trip to Dimenna Children’s Museum at the New York Historical Society is a fun place for older children to experience what life was really like in New York 100 years ago. There is even a program to entertain younger children as their older siblings explore.

8. Discover over 450 science exhibits, events, and workshops designed to engage all ages, children to adults, at the New York Hall of Science. Their approach is centered on “Design, Make, Play” ensuring there is something for any of your science fans to indulge in.

9. At The Palay Center for Media almost every television show ever filmed can be viewed at this center which boasts 150, 000 TV shows, commercials, and radio shows! All guests will get their own TV console and headphones and can pull up their favorites from I Love Lucy to SpongeBob Squarepants. 

10. A trip to New York wouldn’t be complete for little ones without a stop at Dylan’s Candy Bar. Think of every candy-coated dream you’ve ever had in one spot. And with specialty adult-only beverages, there’s a sweet treat for every member of the family to enjoy!
