Headed to Magic Kingdom on your Disney World vacation? With dozens of rides, attractions and characters to meet it can be overwhelming figuring out what to do with your little... and big ones! Check out our list to keep any of your children entertained!

Babies under 2

You may be wondering if there’s anything for you to do with your children under 2 at Disney? Don’t worry, there are so many attractions they can participate in! Almost all rides are baby-friendly, meaning Mommy or Daddy can hold them on their lap during a ride. This includes some of your older kid rides like Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean. While these rides may seem too grown up for little ones, you’d be surprised how the flashing lights, floating objects and moving buggies or boats keep them entranced.

Jungle Cruise is a nice break from the Florida sun where you will board a boat and go on a guided cruise through the jungle. Keep your eye open for all the different animals!!

Some of your must do’s with little ones are the Walt Disney World Railroad and the PeopleMover. Both move slowly and will surely keep your little entertained or lulled to sleep. Looking for a place to take a breather and relax while they nap? Check out the Carousel of Progress; it’s a great opportunity for everyone to rest while watching an entertaining show taking you back in time!

Preschoolers 3-5 years

If you have a pre-schooler you’ll have to check out Dumbo the Flying Elephant. I always recommend not using a Fastpass for this ride as the queue while you’re waiting for the actual ride is the best part. You’ll find a huge circus-themed indoor play area with ample bleacher seating to watch as your preschoolers can run, jump and climb.

Also popular with preschoolers are The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Under The Sea -  Journey of the Little Mermaid and Peter Pan.  All take you through their storylines and give you a feel of what it is like to be “under the sea” or flying off to Neverland with Peter. Bonus is parents with babies can take everyone on these rides and all will enjoy them!

No visit to Disney World would be complete with a ride on the iconic It’s A Small World.  A huge bonus to this ride is there is hardly ever a wait and it will keep your little ones mesmerized.

Big Kids 6 - 10 years

If you have bigger kids you’ll have to check out the Mad Tea Party Teacups. Kids have the ability to spin their cups as fast or slow as they want, and as your older ones can go on this ride by themselves once you’ve stayed through the queue with them, even parents with babies can allow their big kids a turn on them.

Also, be sure to check out Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin where kids can get a chance to shoot at aliens to save the planet. It’s always fun to see who has the highest score at the end of the game!

One of the most popular rides in Magic Kingdom is the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. If your little one is a thrill seeker, make sure you ride this!  As this ride is so popular, make sure you acquire a Fastpass in advance for it!

Tweens and Teens 11-18 years

Your older children will have to hit some of the classics at Magic Kingdom; Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion. But if you have daredevils in your midst, send them on their way to Magic Kingdom’s mountains!

Splash Mountain, Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad all boast amazing themed roller coaster that will excite even your most unimpressed tween or teen.

In all Magic Kingdom is a wonderful place for everyone in your family. It was built with the concept of “family first” which means that everyone can enjoy almost every ride. Have fun and enjoy almost all of the rides together as a family!
