Is Staying Club Level at Disney World Worth It?

By Jade Monzo, Owner, Rope Drop Travel January 27, 2021

Wondering whether the added expense of staying “Club Level” at a Disney World resort is worth it? I think it depends on what your plans are during your stay and what you are looking to get out of your vacation.

Probably the biggest benefit of Club Level at Walt Disney World is the concierge lounges. These Club Level Lounges each serve coffee, continental breakfast, light afternoon snacks, hors d’ oeuvres at dinner time, and dessert & cordials late at night. While most have slightly different schedules they, for the most part, all follow the same time clock with the day beginning with coffee hour from 6:30 a.m. to 7 a.m., followed by continental breakfast from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., light snacks from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., tea and drinks from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., hors d’oeuvres from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., and desserts & cordials from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Is it possible to make the food offerings meals? For my family, with young children, who mostly enjoy cereal for breakfast and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch; yes, you can. A huge plus is the unlimited beverages throughout the day, you can stock up your cooler with drinks for your day in the parks; as well as candy and trail mix bars where your children can make bags to take with them to snack on during the day.

I wouldn’t recommend a dining plan if you do stay Club Level and plan on utilizing the Lounge frequently because you’ll find yourself left with a ton of snack and quick service credits at the end of your stay.

In addition to the Club Lounge, all Club Level guests have access to the Concierge Resort Cast Members between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. These Cast Members are found at desks outside of the lounge or nearby, and can assist with tickets, dining, recreation, transportation, childcare, and daily itinerary planning.

Walt Disney World now offers enhanced VIP services for Club Level guests for $50 per person per day, which include 3 extra FastPasses bookable 90 days in advance. There are no park restrictions on these additional FastPass, so you can use them for all the ultra-popular rides. My personal opinion is that this cost is excessive as by utilizing Disney’s Fastpass system you make needing extra Fastpasses unnecessary. If you are confused with how the Fastpass system works, make sure to ask your travel agent for help.

As a whole, if you can take advantage of breakfast and dinner plus dessert service most nights of your stay, Club Level is easy to justify from a value for your money perspective. For those wanting a VIP experience where you are catered just that much more during your Disney stay, definitely consider staying Club Level during your next stay!
