One of Disney’s most fun and newest additions to its fleet of transportation in Walt Disney World is the Minnie Van Service that is connected with Lyft. This new personal ride service will get you around Disney World much quicker and easier than relying on most of their transportation right now.
Besides the ease factor of using, you can feel secure knowing that you are in a Disney-owned and operated vehicle. The roomy vehicles will fit up to six guests comfortably and the option of two child safety seats, should your family need them.
You can expect friendly cast members who always greet you with a smile and pleasant conversation. Make sure you ask where they worked in Disney World before they became a Minnie Van driver, they all have such great stories to tell!
Here’s how it works:
1. Open the Lyft app on your smartphone and select your WDW destination.
2. After confirming your pick-up location tap on “Select Minnie Van.” You may need to swap to the options offered to find a Minnie Van available.
3. After confirming, the app will then display a map where you can track your vehicle as it is on route to you. There will also be an identifying vehicle number to help you find your car.
Disney does also offer an accessible Minnie Van. You can call a Minnie Van Service Specialist directly at 1-407-828-3500 to request an accessible vehicle up to an hour in advance of needing your vehicle. These can accommodate guests with standard wheelchairs, motorized vehicles and electric conveyance vehicles.
Even more recently added is the Minnie Van Airport Service which allows you to start and end your vacation in one of these fun, convenient vans! This service can be included as part of a Disney Resort hotel package for one-way or round-trip transportation between Orlando International Airport and your Disney Resort hotel. These will accommodate up to six guests and offer up to three complimentary car seats, a huge plus for traveling families!
