If you have animal lovers in your family then the Wild Africa Trek at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park is a must! Wild Africa Trek is an immersive experience that offers Disney's Animal Kingdom Guests a unique opportunity to enjoy unexplored areas of the Harambe Reserve and have an "up close and personal" experience with intriguing African wildlife species.
Don’t forget to wear your comfortable clothes and shoes! This three-hour experience, led by specially trained guides, begins in the Safi River valley where expedition harnesses will allow you to cross precarious rope bridges and enjoy up-close views of Nile hippos and crocodiles. The journey continues along the edge of a magnificent, wide-open African savannah, where you board a specialized vehicle to enjoy an exclusive safari, including a stop at a private safari camp. This 30-minute interval allows you to continue premium animal viewing and enjoy African-inspired food samplings.
A Disney-trained photographer will capture memories while you enjoy the Wild Africa Trek experience - a service that's included with your tour. At the end of the trek, you will receive a photo code that you can use to access and download images taken during your Wild Africa Trek experience.
This nature-filled tour requires a separate admission ticket to Disney’s Animal Kingdom park and pricing begins at $189-$249 per person depending on the season. A portion of your tour price is donated to the Disney World Conservation Fund!
You can schedule your tour up to six months in advance and you can find a time slot throughout the day. These advance reservations are highly recommended as spaces fill up quickly. Keep in mind that full payment is required when you reserve your spot and children must be eight or older and at least 48” tall to enjoy the fun.
