Visiting Disney World can be a delight for the foodies in your family. There is good food to be found everywhere on Disney property. This goes for everyone, as they are truly one of the most accommodating vacation destinations for guests who have food allergies.
Here are our top five gluten-free snacks at Walt Disney World. And I guarantee, those that aren’t gluten-free will find these snacks just as delicious!
Mickey Bars! Probably the most well know snack at Walt Disney World is safe for gluten-free guests to indulge in. You can find these delicious chocolate-covered vanilla ice cream bars everywhere, from all the resorts to the theme parks.
Anything from Erin McKenna’s Bakery. Disney Springs is home to an amazing bakery where you will find donuts, cookies, cupcakes, teacakes and much more. What’s so wonderful about this bakery is how incredibly friendly it is to its allergy guests.
You can also find some of these treats at The Boardwalk Bakery on Crescent Lake and in addition, if you enjoy a quick-service breakfast at Be Our Guest in Magic Kingdom, the assorted pastries that will arrive with your breakfast order are gluten-free, coming straight from Erin McKenna’s!
The Peter Pan Float. This can be found in Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland at Storybook Treats. I find nothing more refreshing than this delicious half-drink/half ice cream, especially on a hot Disney day! It’s a Key Lime Ice Cream with Sprite snack that’s garnished with a chocolate feather. My recommendation, pick one up on your way over to Peter Pan’s Flight, it’ll help you to “think wonderful things” as you get ready to have fun on this favorite ride of many!
Zebra Domes! While these scrumptious snacks can only be found at Animal Kingdom Lodge, they’re worth the trek! You can order these at either Boma or in the refrigerator at The Mara. You will be able to easily distinguish the container as it is labeled gluten-free. An incredibly rich indulgence, these little domes are filled with a yummy chocolate mousse.
Hands down one of the most popular snacks at Disney, with almost a cult-like following, is also safe for gluten-free guests - either the Pineapple Dole Whip or the Dole Whip Float. While originally it could only be found in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom, it is now available at both Animal Kingdom and the Polynesian Resort. There are a few options when ordering this snack; guests can either order in all pineapple, pineapple swirled with vanilla, with a pineapple upside-down cake, or even with rum for the grownups. Anyway, if you order this refreshing treat, you will not be disappointed!
