Dr. Mohrmann, please tell us a little about yourself.
Orthopaedics surgeon and real estate broker who always dreamed of owning and operating a coffee and craft cocktail bar. Grew up on Long Island, always loved the iconic Woolworth Building. Very fortunate to have the opportunity to create “Five & Dime” in the Woolworth Building lobby.
When was Five & Dime incorporated? Where does the name come from?
Incorporated in 2016, the idea came from the Frank Woolworth retail stores of the same name that were established in the mid-1900s.
Tell us about your high-end whisky program and seasonally-inspired signature cocktails.
We have a wide selection of single malt whisky from throughout Scotland, with a few surprises (New Zealand, Japan, etc.)

How has the pandemic affected you?
Our revenue is down almost 90.0%. Pre-COVID customer base mostly office workers, now working to expand into residential customers from Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan
