Love At First Sight... Or Second... Or Third..?!

By Sweta Shah Sakhpara, Founder, PranaWorks February 15, 2021

Valentine’s Day - ("Oh! the cliché of it all... another article about love.") - the message of self-love.

You know how we meet someone and it’s love at first sight?

Or remember when you saw that puppy and fell in love with him/her? Or that kitten? Or that chair? Or that scarf?

When was the last time you felt that happy looking into the mirror?

But it’s not always love at first sight for everyone though. Is it?

Sometimes you take your time... you get to know the person. You evaluate what you can ignore about this person to make it work and what is an absolute no go for you.

When was the last time you took your time, got to know the person, to evaluate and make it work for the person in that mirror?

Over and over we hear people say... self-care is important. Eat that cookie, do your workout, go on that solo trip, or that dinner out... you deserve some me-time. I am guilty of saying it to you all at some point too, right?

When was the last time you were that caring to the person in the mirror?!

Maybe this year, let’s begin our days with self-love..?

Find one thing about yourself that you love and say it aloud to the mirror and smile at that person.

Add to that list every day if you can or work on things about yourself so they become worthy of being added to that list.

Loving yourself should be your first priority.

A parting thought - when you LIKE a flower, you pluck it. When you LOVE a flower, you nurture it, you watch it grow and you rejoice when it blooms. THAT is the LOVE, we should all aspire to have for OURSELVES.
