Tips For A Natural No-Makeup Look

By Sara Niec Carnahan, Founder, Sara N.C. Beauty March 2, 2021

What do we want? Red carpet glamour! How do we want it? Effortlessly!

How can we make our beauty wishes come true? We’re on a roll towards healthier beauty, easier to execute looks and fresher faces. Let me give you few tips on how to achieve that.

Tip #1: Simplify and Multi-Task

Now that complicated beauty looks are making their way to the past, streamlined beauty techniques are front and centre. Shop smarter with multitasking products that can amp up your beauty look, while streamlining and simplifying your makeup routine.

  • Try once a week, cutting a single step out of your routine.
  • Double up on products! My favorite example is using eyeshadow as blush or even lip color. My favorite product is ShadowSense from SeneGence. Not only does it have anti-aging properties but it will now smudge or budge and you can use it all over your face.

Tip #2: Focus on SKIN

Specifically, this step focuses on a revival of youth. For effortless glam, our go-to perfected skin that’s naturally dewy - without heavy products or too much manipulation. Wondering how to get this skin-centric beauty look?

  • Choose an ultra-lightweight foundation or color correcting tinted moisturizer that will even out your complexion without looking too cakey. Also, think about our illuminating your eyes and bringing them up with eye creme. EyeLuminator will reflect the light and brighten the dark under-eye.
  • Or skip foundation altogether and use only concealer! Use a skin-toned concealer over areas of concern like dark spots, blemishes, and uneven pigmentation. Blend it out with a warm, damp sponge or your fingers, for the most seamless results. With patting motion!
  • Mix moisturizer and/or liquid highlighter into your liquid foundation and then apply. Try the Pearlizer not only is it super lightweight but also Anti-aging and creates an undeniably dewy glow.

Tip #3: Embrace Bold, Vibrant Colors

The final piece of this beauty puzzle? It’s a pop of color! Pops of color aren’t only reserved for the lips, though. Dash of a colored liner to your waterline or softly smudge under your lower lash line. Fun shades might include aqua, lime, or sunshine yellow while more work-appropriate colors could be lavender, indigo and emerald. Cream to powder formula is so easy to work with and you can blend or build as much pigment as you like.

  • Keep the attention on the eyes with color mascara, which is another big trend in the beauty community right now. Don’t be shy about the deep hues of purple and blue.
  • Use a highly pigmented blush on the cheeks; start with soft, youthful shades featured in the creamy.

Don’t hold back from the fear of brighter colors. Just have fun with it! And combine the simplicity with a little pop.
