Dubbed by Disney as the “most magical flight on Earth,” the Disney Skyliner connects EPCOT and Disney’s Boardwalk and Disney’s Hollywood Studios to Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, and Disney’s Riviera Resort. Since opening in fall of 2019, it has quickly become a fan favorite.
Nearly half of the Disney Skyliner cabins are wrapped in Disney scenes with beloved characters, favorite movies, attractions and more. You’ll find gondolas sporting your Disney Fab Five pals, Disney pals such as the Fab Five, but newer characters including “Zootopia,” “Ralph Breaks the Internet,” “Moana,” “Finding Dory,” the Haunted Mansion, and Pirates of the Caribbean” are all showcased.
The Disney Skyliner station located at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort serves as the main HUB. From the Caribbean Beach Resort Skyliner station, you can take the line to EPCOT via Disney’s Riviera Resort, you can take the line to Art of Animation/Pop Century Resort, or you can take the line to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. All lines originate at Caribbean Beach Resort’s station. Depending on your anticipated final destination, you may have to switch Skyliner tracks to continue on your right path.
The Disney Skyliner cabins are accessible to guests in wheelchairs and ECVs as well. A Cast Member will guide you into the gondola and once you're set, they will place chocks behind the wheels to keep your scooter or wheelchair in place during your flight. Single strollers can be rolled onto your gondola; however, wider double and larger strollers will need to be folded up.
The gondolas are not air-conditioned, but there are reflective panels to avoid direct sunlight and cross-ventilation windows that allow airflow, which you can close or open as needed. Having ridden them in the middle of the summer, while yes, they were hot - it was definitely manageable. Each gondola has bench-style seating that fits a maximum of ten people or up to six guests if you're riding a wheelchair-accessible gondola.
Reaching any destination on the Disney Skyliner line is pretty quick. Here is a list of how long you can anticipate your next Skyliner ride to be.
• Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort to Disney’s Hollywood Studios: 5-6 minutes
• Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort to Disney’s Pop Century Resort or Disney’s Art of Animation Resort: under 6 minutes
• Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort to Disney’s Riviera Resort: about 5 minutes
• Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort to International Gateway at Epcot: approximately 15 minutes
• Disney’s Riviera Resort to International Gateway at Epcot: approximately 9 minutes
