I don’t know about you, but my kids love sushi! There’s something really fun about eating bite-sized food with chopsticks.
Here’s a fun take on sushi that you can make with your kids! Instead of savory rice and nori, this sweet, healthy snack uses bananas, nut butter or Nutella, and whatever toppings you can dream of.
Ingredients:
- bananas
- peanut butter (or other nut butters) and/or Nutella
- coconut oil (as needed)
- toppings (sprinkles, chopped nuts, granola, shredded coconut, cereal, etc.)
Step 1: Heat the nut butter or Nutella in the microwave for 30 seconds. Stir in a few drops of coconut oil, as needed, to make it easily spreadable.
Step 2: Place the bananas on a plate or small baking sheet. Then, spread the nut butter/Nutella liberally over the top of each banana.
Step 3: Sprinkle your toppings on each banana. Then, place them in the freezer for 10-15 minutes so the toppings will set.
Step 4: Cut the bananas into 1-inch pieces and serve immediately. Enjoy!
