Social Inertia

By Sweta Shah Sakhpara, Founder, PranaWorks April 5, 2022

There comes a time in everyone’s life, when we stop, take stock of what is important, what no longer serves our purposes, and let it go.

As a general rule, most of us, when cleaning house, do this. If you haven’t touched this in six months or more, maybe you don’t really need it - let it go.

Just like that, there needs to be a time when we apply the same logic and begin getting rid of things and people that don’t really help you or your situation in any way other than bringing you down.

Stop hanging out with energy vampires.

Stop reaching out to people who have excluded you.

Start realizing that you don’t need them to be you. You are perfect the way you are. With or without them. Better off in some cases, without them, really.

The key here is to be able to identify when this needs to happen.

When you find yourself in limbo, when you feel you aren’t moving, aren’t evolving, aren’t learning and aren’t contributing either when in the company of these people - that is inertia.

That is what makes you stagnant.

You need to find your tribe, one that allows you to be you. One that accepts you the way you are. One that doesn’t make you feel “less than”.

Good friends don’t come by easy.. focus on the quality not the quantity. Once you get this right, you will thrive!

Thank you!
