Om Calling

By Sweta Shah Sakhpara, Founder, PranaWorks June 27, 2023

And just like that the dam broke. There was heartbreak, there was frustration, there was uncertainty. So much had gone wrong in just one day!

Really though? Was it just this one day that broke the dam? Or was it building up for so long that it eventually came to a head today?

And on days like this, it feels like there is no silver lining... that this is the end. A sense of doom prevails. Our hearts drop with each recall.

And on days like this, I implore you to breathe... deep, intentional breaths.

Here is a technique:

Take a deep breath for 4 seconds, and hold it for 8 seconds - imagine it going through your body touching every cell and the cells starting to glow. Now, release the breath for 7 seconds - imagine all the darkness leaving your body.

If you can catch yourself as that sense of doom starts taking over, if you can make yourself do this breathing just 3 times in a row, you will begin to see a way out. You will feel calm enough to allow rational thought a chance.

Try it. Do it morning, noon and night.

Just 3 breaths, thrice a day.

…. and by the way, that “Om”? It is optional.

You are welcome!
