Pop-Up Store: August 9 to September 7, 2024Description
MINISO and Chiikawa will appear at the Tangram Shopping Mall for a special pop-up store collaboration, marking the character’s first retail appearance in North America!
Global lifestyle brand MINISO has collaborated with Chiikawa, one of the most popular character brands in Japan today, to spread new fun and joy to customers in the US. Chiikawa, born from a social media manga, and named after the main character meaning “something small and cute” has become a pop culture phenomenon across Japan and Asia.
Known for its cute and comforting art style, the beloved Chiikawa along with friends Hachiware and Usagi are coming to an exclusive pop-up store in Flushing, Queens, New York, from August 9 to September 7, 2024.
With an enchanting design, including a massive 3D figure on the roof, and featuring comic-inspired images, the pop-up store will carry nearly 100 offerings, including cute plush toys, bags, stationery, and various lifestyle products, making it the most comprehensive collection of MINISO x Chiikawa merchandise in the U.S.
Throughout the pop-up store’s run, MINISO will bring the Chiikawa experience to life by hosting a variety of entertaining interactive activities including a custom photo booth. Opening weekend, mascots will entertain customers and be available for photos.
